The OBA is a team of local amateur boxers currently ranging from the ages of 12yrs to 21yrs. We give people opportunities to compete at a national and international level. We are a place of learning that helps people in the community set goals and reach their full potential. For many of our boxers this is their only dream.
The Otago Boxing Academy currently houses 4 NZ National Boxing Champs, 4 NZ Golden Glove Champs and we are sending 5 more boxers to Queensland to fight for the Australian National Golden Glove Titles and 6 to fight for this year’s NZ National Titles.
