  • Busy times

Good morning everyone sorry there haven't been a lot of updates lately it's been very busy here with kittens, cats, adoptions, vet visits, helping members of the public getting their furbabies spey/castrated,microchip scanning strays. Not enough hours in the day unfortunately. We have had some amazing families/people contacting us about stray families/kittens that they have already semi domesticated which has made our job easier with catching them and getting them ready for their new forever homes so a big thank you to all of you. Please if you have any cats/kittens you need help with don't dump/leave behind or leave to turn wild we are still available to help you but it won't be as quickly as we normally are able to as we are near capacity. This kitten season has been even more busy than previous because of COVID19 as speying/castration wasn't able to be done during lockdown/ until level 2, the Veterinary Clinics did their absolute best to catch up when they were allowed to start doing these again but they just didn't have enough time to get the backlog sorted before this season started.

Any donations would be appreciated while we deal with this extremely busy time, we are running low on flea treatments, crates, litter and of course our vet bill is is growing faster than we can get it paid.

Good afternoon a very busy time here at Paws Crossed lots and lots of kittens and an extremely high vet bill which we need to get sorted out ASAP. We currently owe $3500 we have already made payments on this account but with the costs of food, vaccinations and microchipping things have escalated. We realize this is a tight time of the year for everyone but any donations will be greatly appreciated. We hope you all have a great Xmas and New Year

  • New arrivals

Good afternoon everyone I would just like to say thank you for all of your ongoing support and donations. We have had 12 new arrivals join our foster furbabies in the last week alone, we have a total of over 30 kitties in the rescue at the moment and we are about to tackle kitten season. This is high numbers for us at this time of year as a lot of people have had to move because of COVID either because they can't afford their current rentals because of redundancy/loss of hours and their new rentals don't allow furbabies and elderly who are going into Residential Aged Care Facilities. This is obviously putting extra strain on our resources so we definitely appreciate all the donations we receive as we have also not had many adoptions happening because of COVID as well.

  • Vet costs

      14 July 2020

We have a kitty named Toma who came to us in the weekend who has 2 fractured fang teeth which need to be extracted ASAP as he is in pain with these teeth and as you would be previously made aware we are already struggling with a $5300 vet bill. We have been quoted $850 and this is without the medication he will need after surgery to come home and recover with. Any help would be greatly appreciated in helping Toma get these teeth removed.

Good evening everyone well it's been a busy time at Paws Crossed with stray kitties feral kitties and surrendered furbabies. We are about to start a vaccination program for all of the kitties in the rescues care. This involves lots of transportation as you can imagine and organization and also funds. Once we have our vaccination program the next program will be desexing and microchipping. We want all of the cats/kittens in the best possible health for their new forever homes.

  • Funds for kitten food and vet bill

      25 April 2020

Good afternoon first of all a big thank you to the people that have donated recently. We are in dire need of funds for our VetCare bill and to buy both wet and dry food for our influx of kittens during lockdown, 21 kittens in the last 10 days. Litter is also something else we need as you can imagine 21 new kittens plus the kitties that were already in our care as we went into lockdown. We solely rely on donations and the funds from adoptions to keep us running and our doors open. Our donation boxes obviously haven't been donated to since lockdown and no adoptions. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Raising funds for Cookie

      2 March 2020

Wee Cookie a 7 month old kitty came to us with a broken leg caused by being hit by a car and infection had set into the bone and muscle so she needed her leg amputated this has come with a cost of $1200 to our rescue. We desperately need to raise funds as it is a huge amount which we as a rescue will struggle to pay and there was never an option not to help this wee girl.

Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to Paws Crossed Cat Rescue as without your generosity we wouldn't be able to help all of the cats and kittens we have already helped and the new cats/kittens we continue to help on a daily basis.
