Pegasus offers ATC Air Cadets the opportunity to experience flying in a motor glider. This is often their first taste of flying and gives them an insight into possible career opportunities within the aviation industry, and an introduction to what is an exciting sport or hobby.
Pegasus provides the motor glider for the ATC Squadrons to use. It is supported, by NZ Gliding Club instructors who are nominated, qualified instructors for this type of specialized glider. All the pilots donate their time.
There is an opportunity to apply for a Flying Scholarship through the Pegasus Trust. This is open to all Air Cadets (ATC) who meet the application criteria.
Pegasus is a charity organization, run solely with a small, dedicated team of volunteers. We are always looking for donations and sponsors to keep our aircraft in the air, so we can continue providing air experience for our young ATC Cadets.

The ATC Air Cadets are a good mix of males and females between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age.
