Q-Youth

Making Nelson a safer place for all gender and sexuality diversities.

Nelson / Tasman

Q Youth was established in Nelson in 2009 by youth for youth. It has gone on to become a safe space for many young people of gender and sexuality diversity.

We run a drop in centre, support the Queer Straight Alliance groups in schools and run our own community training's.

As a we are a small not for profit organisation your generous donations will go to our projects such as our annual Q Ball and our Rangatahi Wellbeing Fund (which helps youth with costs for things such as binders, bus fare, emergencies).

More about us

We support gender and sexuality diverse young people, their whanau and friends. We are proactive in supporting our schools and community to become more accepting and understanding of diversity through education.
