Restoring significant heritage railway vehicles, providing interpretation and a heritage experience for visitors to our railway.

The Trust was formed in 2003 and since then has focused on establishing a base at Maymorn. This work has included building a secure shed to store our rail vehicles. Rail vehicle restoration and track laying. The Trust is now running public open days so that the public can come and see what we're doing.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause. We had such a great morning riding the trains and being taken for a tour. The guy operating also let us in even though we forgot cash with us. Amazing work they are doing here!! Will come back again soon (with cash)
