North Canterbury food rescue organisation that aims to redistribute surplus food from local retailers & growers to local charities who help
Satisfy Food Rescue was established in 2014 by a group of like minded people from Waikuku Beach, Rangiora and Kaiapoi, all who have a passion for caring for the environment and providing nutritious food to those who are struggling to get it.
Food rescue is basically where food is rescued from food retailers and growers and redistributed to charities who work with people in need. A simple concept but actual follow through requires a lot of organisation and inputs!
Satisfy aims to work collaboratively with local communities and charities so that food that was otherwise destined for landfill or animal feed is distributed to those in the community who really need it.
