We provide family violence awareness through prevention and intervention services for young people and families from migrant and refugee backgrounds. We also provide child abuse prevention, family mediation, legal advice and comprehensive support for migrant and refugee youth through programmes, conferences and outreach services.
The youth unit has held two Multicultural Youth New Zealand (MYNZ) Conferences in 2011 and 2012 which was attended by over 200 young people from across Aotearoa. We provide outreach services and advocacy services and have also recently completed a year long mentoring programme for young women who are survivors of family abuse and domestic violence.
