Our mission is to prevent drowning and injury in the Northern Region of Aotearoa. Our lifeguards deliver the highest quality patrol & rescue services every summer. We also help build capability at our 18 Clubs and provide surf education to schools and the wider community, helping the public to stay safe on our coastlines from one year to the next.

Last season our lifeguards rescued 313 people, enabling them to return home safely to their families. 23,723 beachgoers were removed from danger and 673 first aid treatments were administered. This is why Surf Life Saving Northern Region exists - we are here for the safety of the wider community of the Northern Region!

Our mission is to prevent drowning and injury! We ensure that our Lifeguards provide the highest quality rescue service to save hundreds of people every summer.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
