Helping People Who Learn Differently
Every learner deserves to be understood, supported and given the opportunity to thrive.
At SPELADD New Zealand Inc., we believe that learning differently should never mean being held back.
Since 1999, we have helped children, young people and adults with specific learning difficulties (SLDs) and ADHD understand their strengths, overcome barriers and reach their potential.
Based in Palmerston North, we provide services throughout the lower and central North Island, supporting individuals as well as parents and whānau, teachers, tutors, employers and other professionals.
We provide:
* Specialist assessment to identify strengths, needs and learning differences
* Individualised tutoring and support
* Training for teachers, tutors and other educators
* Information and practical guidance for families and professionals
* Advocacy for people who learn differently
Why Your Support Matters
Behind every assessment is a person who wants to be understood. Behind every tutoring programme is a student who deserves the chance to succeed. Your donation helps make that possible.
Your support helps us increase understanding, build confidence, promote strengths-based approaches and create learning environments where people who learn differently can participate and succeed.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue this work.
Help Us Make a Difference
Together, we can help people who learn differently recognise their strengths, build confidence, overcome barriers and unlock their potential.
At SPELADD, we believe that learning differently should never mean being left behind.
Every student learns in their own way. Some may need more time, different teaching approaches, additional support, or an environment that better understands how their brain works.
