Nationwide
GrandFriends is a small but mighty charity that combats big issues like isolation and loneliness. We are the bridge that brings Kiwis together across generations.
GrandFriends connects families who don't have grandparents to lean on with older people in their local area who have time and love to give. This helps families find support nearby and helps to reduce loneliness in older people, especially those who live alone.
GrandFriends was founded by Jo, who has experienced first-hand the challenge of raising children away from your immediate family and the support that a surrogate grandparent can bring.
Your donation helps us to pay for the small but mighty team who run things behind the scenes, and contributes to the cost of running our members-only online platform so we can connect even more people.
GrandFriends NZ busts social isolation and loneliness by linking Kiwi's together to create new family circles.
Funds raised will be used to build a platform that will connect families and surrogate grandparents together. Donations will also go towards the general day to day running of the organisation, marketing materials and website upkeep, aswell as any other purpose as is necessary to run a non profit organisation.
