Building Sustainable Community in Ōtepoti Dunedin

Founded in 2007 the Sustainable Dunedin City Inc Society have been working towards building a more sustainable and resilient community, here in Ōtepoti, in response to the threats posed by the climate crisis and unsustainable resource use.
We do this by connecting with various community groups; hosting and promoting events which help to bring people together while giving them the knowledge and skills required to adapt to our changing climate.
We also contribute to the communities collective knowledge by conducting and sharing research on climate change, sustainability and building resilience. We use this research to lobby businesses, local and central government to adapt their policies and procedures for a sustainable future.
Funding would enable us to upkeep our events calendar, have admin support and create more events to network our community.

The Society aims to facilitate a positive, secure and sustainable future for Dunedin City in the face of challenges posed by climate change and unsustainable resource use.
