We serve the Pasifika cancer community; people living with cancer or who have survived cancer. We rely on donations to provide this service.

Taime (tie-meh), which means "time" in Cook Islands Māori, is a word that resonates with people living with cancer or who have survived it. Elizabeth and David Fa’alili, both cancer survivors, identified the need for support specifically designed for the Pasifika community during their own experiences. In recognition of this gap, they established Taime to provide tailored resources and assistance for Pasifika individuals navigating their cancer journeys.
Taime - a not-for-profit organisation - provides a safe and supportive environment for Pasifika people impacted by a cancer diagnosis. The organisation offers a variety of services, including:
▪︎ Taime Talks: An online support group that provides a platform for sharing experiences and receiving encouragement.
▪︎ Taime Chats: Telephone check-ins designed to provide personal support and connection.
▪︎ It’s Our Taime: An in-person support group that fosters community and understanding.
▪︎ Connector Service: Assistance in connecting individuals to relevant service providers for additional resources.
▪︎ Zumba Gold: A modified Zumba class that incorporates island music, promoting physical activity and wellbeing.
▪︎ Teu Lou Ulu: A headwear library offering head coverings for Pasifika individuals experiencing alopecia due to cancer treatment.
Your contributions are essential to helping Taime continue offering these vital, free services.
Faafetai ▪︎ Meitaki ▪︎ Fakafetai ▪︎ Malo aupito ▪︎ Vinaka ▪︎ Fakaaue ▪︎ Kam rabwa ▪︎ Faiakse'ea ▪︎ Ngā mihi
We need your help to maintain our efforts in raising awareness, providing assistance, and establishing connections with organisations and initiatives that cater to the essential needs of Pasifika families impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
