Help us with the maintenance of the Tokomaru Shelter, and the upgrade, repair and renovation of the Manawatū section of the Te Araroa Trail.
Manawatu / Whanganui
The Te Araroa Manawatū Trust manages, maintains and enhances the 110 km Manawatū section of the Te Araroa Trail, from its northern boundary at Bulls to its southern boundary at Levin. In order to do this, the Trust requires ongoing funding, specifically for signage, weed spray, tools and materials, maintenance of the Tokomaru Shelter, as well as for future projects, e.g. drinking water tanks, to continue to improve the trail.
The Trust:
• is run by volunteers;
• developed and maintains the Tokomaru Shelter;
• has installed and continues to maintain a network of trail markers throughout the region;
• has built and maintains Burttons Track and Mangahao-Makahika Track to keep the trail off-road
between Palmerston North and Levin;
• has built and continues to build bridges over waterways.
