Help us with the maintenance of the Tokomaru Shelter and the upgrade, repair and renovation of the Manawatū section of the Te Araroa Trail.
Manawatu / Whanganui
The Te Araroa Manawatū Trust manages, maintains and enhances the 110 km Manawatū section of the Te Araroa Trail, from its northern boundary at Bulls to its southern boundary at Levin. In order to do this, the Trust requires ongoing funding, specifically for signage, weed spray, tools and materials, maintenance of the Tokomaru Shelter aka Ian & Franks Hut, as well as for future projects, e.g. drinking water tanks, to continue to improve the trail.
The Trust:
• is run by volunteers;
• developed and maintains the Tokomaru Shelter aka Ian & Franks Hut;
• has installed and continues to maintain a network of trail markers throughout the region;
• has built and maintains Burttons Track and Mangahao-Makahika Track to keep the trail off-road
between Palmerston North and Levin;
• has built and continues to build bridges over waterways.

Kia ora Marie Thanks so much for your generous donation to TAMT via Givealittle. This will certainly help us to ensure that our volunteers are able to continue to maintain Ian and Franks Hut and surrounds, the 2 sections of trail on PCL that we maintain (Burttons and M-M Track), and portions of trail on PNCC and MDC land, eg around Bunnythorpe and Greens Rd. Ngā mihi nui Te Araroa Manawatū Trustees.
Thanks for your generous donation, Gregory. We (Te Araroa Manawatū Trust) are certainly lucky to have volunteers like our Levin based Brett to help out with care and maintenance of our shelter and the TA trail as it passes through the Manawatū and Horowhenua districts. We really appreciate doners like you, which enables us to support our volunteers with tools, materials, petrol money etc. Ngā mihi nui Gregory TAMT
