In many parts of New Zealand, hospitals and specialist maternity services can be a long way from home. Distance, cost, and limited local services can make it harder for families to find the information, support, and care they need during pregnancy.
The Teddy Foundation exists to help remove those barriers.
We support whānau by improving access to trusted pregnancy information, connecting families with specialist maternity services, and helping them navigate accommodation, travel support, and local care options.
Through practical support, partnerships with health and community organisations, and our online pregnancy directory, we help parents find the services they need.
Our goal is simple: to strengthen maternity care and help give every baby in Aotearoa the best possible start in life.
