The Carter Society

The Carter Society

Carter Court, a non-profit residential care home and hospital providing care to the elderly.

Wellington, Carterton District

Created from a generous gift by Charles Rooking Carter in the 1890's, the Carter Society operates one of the few full range not for profit care and residential homes in the country. From rent controlled and right to occupy units to residential and hospital care (including a Palliatve Care suite), all aspects of an older persons care is catered for.

People can be as independent as they want to be in the knowledge that they can stay in the same place as their needs change. With a full calendar of activities, dietary requirements able to be met, quality nursing staff and trained caregivers, people of the Wairarapa can have confidence in the knowledge that residents enjoy a full life.
