The Hāpai Foundation

The Hāpai Access Card helps disabled people communicate their needs and get a better experience when out in the community.

Canterbury

The Hāpai Access Card is established under the Hāpai Foundation, a registered charity (CC56454). It provides a solution to disabled people’s access needs when they engage with businesses. Due to the impacts of Covid 19 and the business recovery that has followed, revenue has not grown as quickly as originally predicted, but it does continue to grow slowly. Unfortunately it is not enough for us to keep our very busy team.

We apply for grant funding but here is the challenge we face. As grant funding bodies are either giving us just 20% of what we request or nothing we need to either cut back on the number and location of the businesses that we work with to provide better experiences for disabled kiwis, or we need to ask you for some help.

So here we are. We run very lean and our 2 biggest expenses are wages and rent and that's what we are asking for help with. We know times are very tough, and every little but helps, even the cost of a cup of coffee will help us out immensely.

Thank you so much for helping us to help disabled kiwis :-)
