The PumpHouse is where stories, creativity and community come alive — your support keeps the stage lights shining for everyone.
Takapuna, Auckland
For nearly 50 years, The PumpHouse has been a place where creativity, stories and community come together on stage. As a not-for-profit theatre, we rely on the generosity of people like you to keep the doors open and the lights shining.
Your donation helps us:
✨ Keep ticket prices affordable so more people can experience live theatre
✨ Offer lower hire costs so local artists and community groups can bring their stories to life
✨ Look after our unique heritage building so it can be enjoyed for generations to come
Every dollar you give goes directly into running The PumpHouse day-to-day — from maintaining the stage and sound systems to making sure the audience has a warm welcome. That support means schools can bring students, emerging artists can take risks, and community groups can share their work without cost being a barrier.
No matter the size of your contribution, you’ll be part of a community that celebrates live performance and ensures The PumpHouse remains a vibrant, affordable and inspiring home for the arts.
The PumpHouse Theatre in Takapuna is a not-for-profit performing arts venue at the heart of the North Shore community. Alongside a full programme of plays, musicals, Shakespeare and local theatre, we create opportunities for people of all ages to connect with the arts.
Our work includes theatre for children, Golden Age Actors’ drama for seniors, the PumpHouse Christmas Choir, and free Creative Talks that spark conversation and ideas. By supporting local artists and providing accessible experiences for audiences, we help keep creativity thriving in our community.
