We run free workshops throughout NZ for people experiencing Illness, Trauma and personal Loss.
CanBead art therapy. Is a not-for-profit charity running under the name The CanInspire Charitable Trust.
We provide art therapy and recreational support for men and women experiencing illness, trauma or personal loss by providing jewellery making.
Our motto is to Create - Support - Inspire, this is just what we do throughout NZ. To give others distraction, fun and skills to carry on with these things at home.
Our workshops are a great way to meet other people in similar situations.
We have worked with many host agencies over the years to name a few Cancer Society, Brain Injury Trust, Eating Disorders NZ, Canteen, Hospice, Sweet Louise, Nurse Maude and Dementia (please note these are not available in all regions).
The CanInspire Charitable Trust incorporates two charities: CanBead and CanTackle.
Our intention at CanBead / CanTackle is to give others affected by illness, trauma or loss the same help that Sarah (see our website for Sarah's story) was given. We hold free workshops, where we give CanBead Kits and show others how to create jewellery or show how to create a fly to be used in fly-fishing. We have some lovely volunteers who help break up donated necklaces, assemble the kits and assist at the workshops. CanBead Kits are funded from donations, grants and from the thousands of donated beads that have come to CanBead since this all began
