We are New Zealand's first legal organisation purpose-built to take collective action against sexual harm.
Nationwide
Right now, someone in Aotearoa is deciding whether to stay silent - because they don't think anyone will believe them, they feel utterly alone, and they can't afford a lawyer.
Tika exists to change that.
We are New Zealand's first legal organisation purpose-built to take collective action against sexual harm. Our model is simple but powerful: when three or more people identify the same perpetrator, they receive free legal advice and representation - together. Because most perpetrators don't stop at one victim. They rely on silence. Tika breaks it.
Through Tika, survivors can pursue criminal convictions, financial compensation, cancellation of professional licences, or formal apologies. Or they can simply connect with others who share their experience - no legal action required.
The need for Tika is staggering. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 8 men have experienced sexual harm as children or adults. That's over 1 million people - enough to fill Eden Park 20 times over. The silence is equally staggering. Only around 8,000 people report to NZ Police each year and only a handful take civil legal action.
Thanks to our generous donors, we've raised $2.5 million in seed funding so far. But we're not there yet - to launch and roll out our legal service nationwide, we need your support.
You have the power to help survivors go from isolated to unstoppable. This is justice - finally made accessible.
