Taranaki LandSAR

Taranaki LandSAR

Our members are volunteers who assist the NZ Police to conduct search and rescue operations in Taranaki, anywhere, anytime and any weather

Taranaki

The skills and attributes of our members help the lost, missing and injured. Their search and rescue specific training and ability to perform in almost any weather can make the difference.

We average 20 operations per year, and assist or save up to 50 people a year, from tourists on the mountain to dementia sufferers in the city. This can equate to over 1500 hours of volunteer time per annum.
