More about us

TS Leander is a Sea Cadet Unit on Auckland's North Shore that provides youth leadership training for young people between the ages of 13 and 18. Cadets learn sailing skills, shooting, drill and a variety of marine skills within in an environment of military discipline. It is run by a community support group of parents and volunteer officers

Use of funds

Along with camps, training exercises and events, the Unit has to maintain its sailing boats and rescue craft to ensure it operates safely. Funds will be used to ensure the safe operation of the Unit and ensure that costs to parents do not become a barrier to cadets
