Turangi Foodbank Incorporated

The Tūrangi Foodbank provides essential food parcels to families and individuals experiencing hardship across the Southern Lake Taupō communities, including Hatepe, Tauranga-Taupō, Motuoapa, Tūrangi, Otukou, Tokaanu, Omori, Kuratau, and the Western Bays.

We're seeing a significant increase in working families needing our support as the cost of living continues to rise. While incredibly grateful for the ongoing generosity of our community, funders, and partners, the foodbank itself is also impacted by these rising costs. We urgently need more funding to keep our doors open and continue serving those who depend on us.

Poverty doesn’t just happen three times a year, but it’s a long haul for people to get out of. Poverty is a cycle, and once you’re in it, it’s hard to break and see the end of that tunnel. That’s where the spiral kicks in. It’s an essential of life to have food. Without it, you will either do desperate things to yourself, or other people.

The need is constant, and we rely on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open. So please, if you're able to, help us help our community.
