Queenstown, Otago

The Wakatipu Toy Library is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven community service in Queenstown. For more than 25 years we’ve provided families with affordable access to toys, puzzles, dress-ups, games, ride-ons, and outdoor play equipment. With 1,200+ items, we cater to children from babies through school age, giving families variety, encouraging imaginative play, and reducing waste without the cost of buying new.

As a small charity, we rely on grants, fundraising, and community generosity to stay open. Membership fees cover only part of our expenses. Every donation makes a difference. Funds raised will go directly to essential operational costs like rent, insurance, utilities, and keeping the library open three days a week. They will also allow us to refresh and expand our collection, replacing worn-out toys and introducing new ones that support creativity, learning, and active play.

We are also improving the Toy Library experience with better systems, safer equipment, and extras like bouncy castle hire and community events. By supporting us, you help local families save money, access quality play resources, and strengthen connections across our community.

Your donation will ensure the Wakatipu Toy Library continues to be a vibrant, sustainable, and much-loved service for families now and into the future.
