WanderSearch Auckland Charitable Trust

Our Give-a-Little page will help make the WanderSearch service available to everyone in our community.

Auckland

By issuing a WanderSearch device to a person who has a cognitive impairment is a way of assisting them to stay integrated in our community.

To make this happen, we need funding for the pendants themselves, the tracking units, and administrative costs. It costs the Auckland WanderSearch Charitable Trust around $450 to keep each device in our community a year, and we currently have just under 300 devices issued in the Greater Auckland Area.

We do ask for donations from the families, but understand that even a few dollars a week, is an enormous ask, and we want the devices to be available to everyone that requires one.

More about us

From the complex neurobehaviour condition, Autism, through to deterioration, and loss of memory caused by Dementia, the WanderSearch program offers a solution to families in our community needing peace of mind that their loved ones will have the greatest chance possible of being returned to family quickly and safely should they lose their way.

WanderSearch Auckland allows those in our community affected by these debilitating cognitive impairments to stay out of secure facilities, and together as a family unit for a far greater period of time.
