This Christmas, Your Gift Brings Hope.

Christmas should be a time of connection, joy, and celebration. But for many whānau in Te Tai Tokerau, it can be a season of stress, loneliness, and worry.

When money is tight, parents feel the pressure to provide gifts and kai. When relationships are strained, the holidays can deepen pain. And for isolated seniors, Christmas can be the loneliest day of the year.

Your support ensures no one in our community has to face Christmas alone or without hope.

In the first three months of this financial year, we provided 917.5 hours of counselling and 584.25 hours of financial mentoring. We also delivered 282 senior connections through our groups and classes, helping kaumātua stay active, connected, and cared for.

In December, we see families choosing between paying bills and buying gifts, parents skipping meals so their children can eat, seniors spending Christmas Day alone, and couples reaching breaking point under the strain of the year.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. With your support, we can be there when people need us most.

$50 provides a counselling session for a child experiencing anxiety or trauma

$100 covers emergency assistance (food vouchers, petrol) for a family in crisis

$150 supports a senior's connection group for a month

$250 funds 2 sessions of financial mentoring services for families getting back on track

$500 provides comprehensive support for a family
