Whangārei Rape Crisis - providing support for healing and recovery while working towards a world without sexual violence.

We are not only a crisis service. Many people who contact us have experienced sexual harm some time ago. Our services are available to anyone who has experienced rape and/or sexual abuse, no matter when it happened.

Donations to our service provide for us to maintain our 24-hour crisis service, core elements of such which are not funded, for example our after-hours on-call service.

Donations will also support our ambitions for Whangārei to become a community of consent!

More about us

Whangārei Rape Crisis is a non-profit community organisation that has a dedicated team providing a holistic service to people who have experienced sexual harm, therapeutically and practically, as well as supporting their whānau and friends. Our service is available to anyone, no matter when the harm occurred. Time with our service includes creating a support plan to meet people's immediate needs and ongoing support to achieve goals for healing and recovery. Our court service provides support throughout the court process.

We offer listening and support 24-hours a day 7 days a week through our crisis line, and a drop-in service at our office Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, upstairs at 125 Cameron Street (entrance on Albert Street).
