Youthline is the first point of contact for many young people accessing mental health and youth development services across Aotearoa.
Auckland
Every day, hundreds of young people across Aotearoa reach out to Youthline for support, and for over 50 years, we’ve been here to make sure they have somewhere to turn when they need help.
Our 24/7 Helpline is a vital service for young people aged 12 to 24 who are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with their mental health, or just needing someone to talk to. It’s a safe, judgment-free space where they can reach out for support, no matter where they are in NZ or the time of day.
Alongside our Helpline, we offer free, confidential support through face-to-face counselling, youth mentoring, and development programmes in schools and communities. These services help young Kiwis build resilience, confidence, and the skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Right now, the need for our services is greater than ever. New Zealand’s youth mental health crisis is growing, and the issues young people are facing are also becoming more serious.
For 55 years, Youthline has supported generations of young people through life’s challenges. Now, more than ever, our support is needed.
While many people know Youthline and the impact we’ve had, fewer realise we depend on donations to keep our services running. Each year, sustaining this becomes harder. Demand for our support is rising, and the cost of delivering our services continues to climb. We need to ensure Youthline remains available for future generations, just as it has been for the past 55 years. With your support, we can continue to be there for young people when they need us most.
Kia ora, From the bottom of our heart, we would like to say a huge thank you for your incredibly generous donation ❤ We couldn't do what we do, supporting our youth of Aotearoa without amazing supporters like you!
