Zeal

Zeal is dedicated to helping young kiwis discover, express and develop their unique creativity. In supporting us, you support young people

Nationwide

We are Zeal. We are a family of passionate, creative misfits who believe that every young kiwi is creative and who dedicate our lives to helping them discover, express and develop their unique creativity.

Each year we have 50,000 face-to-face engagements through our events, afternoon hangs, practice rooms and training in creative skills such as film, photography, events, barista, sound & lighting, screenprinting and dance.

What Young People Say:

• “Above all, I think Zeal gave me hope.” – Maggie, 17

• "Zeal has helped me turn my life around." - Ben, 18

• "Zeal gave me a skill that I now use for work." Niwa, 19

• "If it wasn't for Zeal I would be in prison." - Dan

• “I learn real skills that I can put to the real world and I don’t feel pressured to learn it. I’m here because I want to.” - Gian, 17

• "I honestly am so thankful for the amazing people at Zeal. Without them I would be a completely different person.” – Mish, 17

How We Do It:

• Youth Facilities

We run youth development facilities in Wellington, West Auckland and Hamilton. These facilities are homes and hubs of creativity and belonging for young people from all walks of life. A fourth facility is currently in development in Kapiti.

• Youth Development Projects

We run youth services in Hawke's Bay and Kapiti, a mobile event box (coming soon to a town near you), two social enterprise cafes (Stories & Georgia) in Wellington, and in-school groups supporting youth mental health.

• Online Engagement

We reach young people online through Live For Tomorrow, our youth advocacy arm, and celebrate youth creativity through our social media pages and website.
