Help us keep StudentForce going, plus provide free advertising to charities, by funding a local flyer that we'll deliver to 16,000 houses.
Bay of Plenty
Hi,
StudentForce is a social enterprise currently helping 80 young students earn money and build good work habits for their future.
A study in Dunedin showed that kids who work under 10 hours per week in their early teens have more success in their future. Our mission is to offer part-time work opportunities to all Tauranga students, creating an emerging youth with a great attitude towards work, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Over the last 18 months we’ve built a team of over 80 kids who deliver flyers monthly to 16,000 households around Tauranga.
But we’ve hit a wall and it’s all about to come crashing down!
Here's the Problem.
Local businesses pay us to deliver flyers advertising their products and services. We’ve had a lot of success, and many happy customers, but the business needed to be at a certain level by now to be sustainable, and we haven’t achieved that goal.
I’ve got no choice now but to work full-time somewhere else. I’m happy to do all the operations work and manage the kids after hours for free, but what I can’t do is the sales work in the daytime to get new customers.
Then I had an idea… Introducing the ‘Do Good Flyer’
There are plenty of deserving charities and social enterprises in Tauranga who desperately need advertising to draw attention to their cause.
What if we harnessed the power of crowd funding and produced a flyer that gave free advertising space to those organisations?
You can Double your Good.
The best thing about this idea is that every dollar you give actually does twice the amount of good. It helps give exposure to the organisations on the flyer, and it helps the StudentForce kids to continue their jobs. If this funding page is successful, The Do Good Flyer will be delivered to 16,000 households around Tauranga in August.
We can still have a Bright Future.
All along, the ‘big picture’ goal for StudentForce was to prove itself in Tauranga and then be franchised all over New Zealand.
The rest of the year is going to be tough, but I still have the drive to make StudentForce work, and I’m now doing it on a 100% volunteer basis.
With your help through the next few months, we can keep it alive together.
Thank you
