Just reading the overview again...they do very similar with the life skills and advocacy...maybe something joint with them to save doubling up on services?

You should contact WIT. They have done a huge study on homelessness and it has involved nearly all organisations that work with the homeless/transient, was done only a few years ago, but I know from working with many of the people who are transient and homeless nothing much has changed in that time :-)

Hey there Helen,thankyou for your questions,Wit only deal with mental health,we have had familes/single men/men and women out of the prison all the ones that don't met the criteria for emergency accomadation through wit,womans refuge etc with no where to go refered to us for the past 2 and a half years,all have different reasons and stories why they are where they are in life,we have a great network of services we work along side.For the last 3 years we have seen the gaps,those gaps are what we plan to fill,as you are absolutely correct, we don't intend to double services that are here,but all network toget her :) I am qualified in mental health and addictions and we have alot of qualified and experienced people that are all ready to make this successful.From our own personal home we have successfully helped 6 people into permanant accomadation in the last 8 weeks,but they have all also changed there whole way of thinking to change their lives for them.:)
