Derek asks
The prospectus states"Eligible for tax credit" yet my receipt came saying "This donation does not qualify for tax credit because the recipient..is not donee approved by IRD"
This is not right.
Can this be resolved please.

Matuku Link Trust
Hi DB, we received the IRD number on the same day we hit the target, so good news all around! The Givealittle computers automatically send out the email you received, which hadn't been updated.
We do have Charity status and you will receive a correct receipt as soon as possible.
Thank you and contact us anytime if you have any questions: matukulink@gmail.com. Best, Annalily

Sorry, i should have asked this with my other question. Who or what organisation will hold the title on completion of the sale. You may recall that a similar Givealittle transferred the title to DOC thereby putting into the public domain. Also it seems that this piece of land does not link up to the Ark so what does it link to?
Matuku Link Trust
Hi DC, no problem, we're here to answer questions! The Matuku Reserve Trust will hold the title on completion of sale. The purpose of the Trust (you can also find this on the charities website (http://www.societies.govt.nz/, search for matuku) is to "manage the bush area with intent of eliminating introduced predators and pest plants and improving it as a bird habitat and corridor" and "encourage use of the land by students, scientists and the public".
Because of the colours on the map it might not be very clear, but it definitely links Matuku Reserve with Ark in the Park: (www.matukulink.org.nz/the-where/), with the Bufferzone (predator control on private properties) in between. Forest Ridge Project is to the left and Habitat te Henga towards the sea. It is also part of the North West Wildlink. Ark in the Park has always had the motto: "From the Ridges to the Sea", this link would be another small step towards that vision.
D asks
What happens to the pledges if you are unsuccessful in purchasing the property?
Matuku Link Trust
Hi DC, if we don't buy the poperty, your pledge will not be charged to your credit card. But at the moment it is looking really promising through a combination of generous donors, Givealittle pledges like yours and other funding and loan options. Thanks for your question!
