Q. What proportion of the donated dollar will actually be spent on the programme in schools?

A: 89% of the funds raised in this crowdfunding will be directly spent on supporting our trainers in Primary schools and Secondary schools, providing resources for schools, and supporting the peace education team to deliver.

Q. Why isn't the Ministry of Education paying The Peace Foundation to do such valuable work?

A: MOE cut its innovation budget some years ago. This was the budget that had funded Cool Schools. We still receive some funds from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development. Once we have succeeded in our crowdfunding initiative, we intend to work on a project to take peaceful conflict resolution skills to every school and community nationwide. We will then engage with MOE for them to become a key funder again.
