Marching into 50Ks A Day in the Rei and the Bay
13 March 2024And we are away!! March is traditionally a busy time of year, and it's no different for our Team who have been out clocking the kms in our quest to reach 50km of exercise between us EVERY day.
This year our Whangarei Squad is excited to welcome Shaun Curtis, who is joining in the Challenge from the Kerikeri Branch. Shaun has been out and about, walking up a storm and contributing to our over all total, which - after the first 10 days - sits at a healthy 1384km!! Go Team!!
Of course, the exercise is just a part of the overall purpose, which is to raise funds for our Northland Rescue Helicopter service. Every year, these airborne angels come to the rescue for hundreds of Northlanders, who'd otherwise have to wait for hours due to our relative isolation. They also transport patients to and from our regional hospitals to bigger centers when more expert medical intervention is needed. So if you are able, please donate to this most worthy cause.
