Create the biggest ever celebration of bikes in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland by donating on behalf of the Central and East Auckland bike burbs!
Auckland
Four teams; North & Waiheke, South, West, and Central & East Auckland; are competing to raise the most funds for Biketober for each area of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. The area which raises the most money will see their name in lights as hosts of the launch of Biketober 2025!
This page is for the team for Centre City and East Auckland burbs. Join this team if you're part of a Central or East Auckland, or if you mainly live/cycle around those parts.
Let's make sure the Centre City and East Auckland burbs get to host the Biketober 2025 opening event! Donate now, or run a fundraiser! You could ask for sponsorship for your cycling goal, or run an event like a sausage sizzle or bake sale to raise money. You could even run a Bike Wash. Get your friends involved too!

A huge thanks to you for your support 10 April 2025
Annnnnd that's a wrap! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, and volunteered time towards this fundraiser. And special thank you to Sandfield, Lime, and Zoomin e-Bikes for providing match funding during the campaign.
While the fundraising page on Givealittle has now closed, you are most welcome to continue to make donations via our website here: https://www.bikeauckland.org.nz/donate/
The Central & East Team is the winning area and will be the host for the Biketober opening event! If that's not your area, don't worry - there will be lots of other events across the region, and we'll make sure no area misses out.
We'll be sharing an update next week about how much we've raised in total - leaving time for the Bike Karaoke this Friday to bring in some final donations (check out Bike Karaoke here: https://www.bikeauckland.org.nz/event/sing-your-heart-out-big-bike-off-karaoke/ )
Thanks again,
The team at Bike Auckland
