    We arrived in Bluff last night after the most wonderful journey. MS people have been meeting us along the way and are so grateful for the donations that have been coming in. Our team is now showing $4570 plus there are donations which went directly to the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay's bank account. This afternoon the Auction of the vehicles takes place followed by a special dinner where there will be special awards then everyone will head on their way.   • AWESOME TRIP - We've reached $4400

    Hi Everyone - a quick update from Greymouth. We left Half Moon Bay a week ago so have been around East Cape via Rotorua then onto Gisborne and down to Dannevirke. A trip over the new road to Palmerston North and down to Wellington to catch the ferry. Blenheim we had a day's rest then onto the big adventure to Hanmer Springs via Molesworth Station. That was such an experience! The weather has been superb - so many photos to upload. Tomorrow it's off to Fox Glacier. Check our FB page Country Girls on the Go for more updates when there is time. The days are jammed packed. Most stops we are welcomed by the local MS supporters which is fantastic. They are blown away by this fundraiser.

  • A BIG UPDATE FROM THE COUNTRY GIRLS

    Firstly thanks to you all for giving so generously to the Bangers to Bluff charity rally via our team. We have just hit the $3,000 mark! This money will be put to good use supporting mainly Multiple Sclerosis along with other Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay projects. We aren't finished though and will keep fundraising the entire journey so hope to grow it further.

    Our beautiful Moomoo the Subaru will have her finishing touches added tomorrow when Carol arrives. She is too shy in the photo below to show her face without her makeup! Monday morning we hit the road.

  • Thank you - We are Gaining Momentum

    Many thanks to everyone who has donated to this great cause so far. Recently we catered for a 50th wedding anniversary which resulted in a very generous donation. Another bit of good news is that it appears we will be able to keep to the original route of going around the East Cape which is an amazing accomplishment by everyone involved in reopening the road. It's not long to go now - leaving 16th March...

  • A little update for you from the team

    Just a quick thank you to family, friends and others for giving so generously to this worthwhile cause. So far the charity has raised $9920 from all teams with our team contributing $425 so far. Our team (now with Sue on board) is working on other avenues as well to boost the coffers and will report back soon. A Facebook page is being set up so you will be able to follow us on the journey.
