Participating in Cardio for Cancer Challenge 2025

We are a group of colleagues from the Faculty of Dentistry in Dunedin. We all have a connection with cancer either personally, a family member or close friend, so we decided to get together and raise funds to support the Wellness Gym. The Wellness Gym provides gym-based exercise programs for cancer survivors in active treatment and beyond in Dunedin.
We have set ourselves the challenge to cover the length of the South Island from a Dental practice in Invercargill to one in Nelson, a distance of 868km and raise funds and awareness of The Wellness Gym. After 12 days the team covered a distance of 1882km, more than double what we had hoped to achieve.
