Regional rescue helicopters provide a vital safety net for all people who require urgent medical, or search and rescue support. In a life and death situation, every minute counts, and helicopter rescue especially in rural or remote locations is often the patients best chance for survival. For this fundraiser teams or individuals can run, walk, cycle or complete any form of exercise, to make up a total of 50kms per day! Some people may choose to do this individually or make up teams who add together their kilometres each day to make up to 50kms.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
