We love to walk up Mauao as much as possible to catch the sunrise or sunset, we are passionate about health and well-being, & we love and value the beauty of Mauao and the land we have around us in the Bay of Plenty.

I (Ata) work at a local GP clinic and have a close relationship with good neighbor, every Friday they donate Kai to us to provide for our whanau in need of that extra support. I am so happy to participate in this challenge and raise funds for this incredible charity.

This challenge is especially important to me this year as I was recently diagnosed with pericarditis and even just getting out of bed has been a challenge some days. It usually takes me 18 minutes to get to the top of Mauao but since my diagnosis, it can take up to an hour. So I really want to heal and regain my health and fitness, at the same time supporting an incredible charity.
