Help us ‘Share the Warmth’ across the BOP

Winter has well and truly arrived in the Bay of Plenty and it’s always a great excuse to get comfy in those winter woolies.

Unfortunately for some, access to heating and warm clothes is harder than it needs to be. That’s why The Hits Bay of Plenty & Synergy Technologies is proud to partner with Good Neighbour Trust to ‘Share the Warmth’ this winter.

From now until August 18th, you can register yourself or your business to take part in our Share the Warmth initiative.

to our supporters, keep an eye on our social media for weekly prizes like a weekly workplace shout from Good Neighbour or Mount Hot Pools prizes to keep you warm and relaxed.

Then, on Friday August 18th, take part in our Share the Warmth Day and wear any kind of winter woolies you can find. It might be warm fluffy socks, a puffer jacket, scarf, beanie, or all those combined.

Go crazy, take a picture, and share it across social media using the hashtag #ShareTheWarmthTGA.

All of this will help raise awareness and funds for the amazing work Good Neighbour does to provide practical support and opportunities, and most importantly human connection, to vulnerable people in the Bay of Plenty.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
