Team Taupo Cube Crazy!

Barbara and I have once again signed up for Bangers to Bluff — the only charity car rally where “sensible” adults voluntarily drive sub‑$2,000 “bangers” from Auckland to Bluff and call it fun. It’s all in support of Multiple Sclerosis NZ and Rotary community projects, so at least our questionable life choices are for a good cause.

This year we’re tackling the 12‑day adventure in our Rubik’s‑themed Nissan Cube — a car that already looks like a puzzle, even before we start losing pieces on gravel roads. We’ll be navigating obscure back roads, potential breakdowns, and the occasional “creative” navigation decision, but with any luck we’ll also collect a few laughs and only a modest number of new rattles.

Any cars that survive the journey (including ours, fingers crossed) are auctioned in Invercargill to boost the fundraising total. Your support helps provide vital services for people living with MS and strengthens community initiatives across Aotearoa.
