The Galloping Gerties

  • The Galloping Gerties

      3 March 2026

From South Island Christchurch, the Galloping Gerties are excited about our first time joining in this fund-raising escapade in support of Multiple Sclerosis (NZ) and other local community causes.

As partners in crime for many years, Serina, Marie and Karen now have Gertie – an 1800 cc 2003 Nissan Primera Banger – to hopefully survive the circuitous two-week Auckland to Bluff road trip. Bit of a challenge buying her in Auckland, sight unseen. So, a huge shout out to TRENDS KITCHENS AUCKLAND BRANCH for logistical support to collect and store before the adventure begins. Without their help none of this would have been possible!!!

To all our friends and family for the wonderful donations thus far – thank you thank you thank you! We continue to look for more contributions, however small. And hopefully Gertie will make it to Invercargill for her auction 28th March to chip in many more $$ for these worthy charities.

    Go Gertie!
