Our little Hunter had his stitches removed last week! Great news that none had ruptured or opened internally (We had our doubts as he is such an energetic little man he was constantly jumping around totally unaware of what had just happened to him!). He has returned to his normal self - and finally cone free. We are spending TONNES of time training him away from rocks and any foreign objects when he goes walking or explores the garden.

We feel so lucky that he is still with us each and every day. We can't stop spoiling him now! He has tonnes of new toys and is a very happy boy. All thank to all of you who kindly made a donation.

So.. Hunter made it through a very long and complicated surgery.

He had 2 out of the 3 items removed from his stomach and intestines. The 3rd one is almost in the bowel and is hopefully going to pass through naturally.

We picked him up last night and had a very sleepy and out of it wee boy! He was on heavy pain relief (thank goodness) and just wanted to sleep. He still managed to wag his tail when he saw us despite everything!

He looks like a funny little patchy dog! he has both front legs all shaved off for injections and IV lines as well as a big patch shaved off his body for his patch pain relief; and then finally a HUGE patch has been shaved off his belly for the surgery.

He was in after hours at the hospital last night and today has been transferred back to the vet and will do the same thing tonight and tomorrow. All the vet nurses have assured me that he gets lots of love and cuddles wherever he is.

So proud of our boy for making it through the surgery and being such a little fighter.
