Help Craig in his fight against melanoma

  • Craig has lost his battle

After initial signs that things were improving for Craig, an MRI and CT scan showed that tumours were growing and multiplying. He was admitted into hospital on 28 December, and from there to Hospice in January. The staff there were fantastic and he touched their hearts, as he was wont to do wherever he was. On Tuesday 26 January he finally found peace.

A service will be held for him at Davis Funerals at 150 Central Park Drive, Henderson on Tuesday 2 February at 10.30, followed by a gathering at Muriwai Beach for the day and into the night. All are welcome to come and share their Craig stories.

Thank you to all who donated to fund the Pembrolizumab that gave us so much hope for a while. We certainly put up a great fight!

  • After 2 infusions!

      17 December 2015

After only two infusions of pembro, Craig is already showing signs that the tumours are shrinking and all his markers for melanoma are reducing. As the drug gets further into his system and he gets stronger, he should be able to deal with the side effects more easily too. Infusion number 3 tomorrow. Thank you all so much for the incredible generosity shown with both donations and physical and emotional support. Let's keep pushing for the government to enter into negotiations with Pharmac to fund this drug so all melanoma sufferers in NZ can benefit! If you haven't already, please go here:
