Call To Urgent Action! We need to help raise funds for Erin to get the much needed treatment to give her the best chance at fighting cancer
Canterbury
Erin was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) on 3rd April. She is only 48. This is an incredibly aggressive breast cancer more common in younger women and often genetic. It is very difficult to fight because of its rapid growth and spread, has a much higher reoccurrence rate and limited treatment options available.
Treatment needs to be hard and fast, starting with chemotherapy. With the long chemo wait lists we may need to pay for chemo to start earlier as every month of delay means a huge reduction in the chances of beating this. There is an immunotherapy option (Keytruda), which is not publicly funded despite being proven to help prevent the reoccurrence of TNBC.
Erin, Jason and their three children are devastated but ready to fight! They're already scrappers, having survived one of their beautiful children suffering a life-threatening illness during Covid. Two children are diagnosed with autism. Erin works full-time and is committed to caring for her family. Because of the strong family history of breast cancer, there is no income protection, and they would struggle to survive on one income so the harsh reality is she cannot afford to take time off work.
This cancer is nasty, and the longer we wait for treatment, the poorer the outcome. So please, if you can help with a donation, even the smallest bit helps, or help by sharing this with your network, please do so. Erin and her family will be forever grateful.
Money will be spent on Chemotherapy, Keytruda and anything else that is needed medically
Money will also be spent on any bills to help relieve the financial pressure
Nearly there! 8 March 2024
