Charlie Farlie, we love you!
Charlie recently received the devastating news that she has late stage Melanoma metastasis. Baby has been delivered early, treatment begins.

Charlie and Shawn are expecting their first child. She is currently 31 weeks pregnant and has now been diagnosed with late stage melanoma metastasis. This has been a shock to everyone and there are some difficult decisions to be made in the comings days.
Treatment for this insidious cancer will entail travel to Australia, and an early delivery of Baby.
From Charlie (26/11/15):
We had some bad news this evening that the cancer has spread throughout my body to multiple organs.. waiting on an mri tomorrow morning to see if it's reached my brain, then we'll know more. From here baby looks to be unaffected so if ever I said here's hoping and meant it it's now.
UPDATE: Baby Ryder was delivered early last Wednesday (2/12/15). He is doing very well in Auckland Hospital NICU. Further details on the update page.

I'm involved because I am willing and able to support Charlie through this as much as I can... The absolute feeling of futility, of not being able to make a real difference is something we all struggle with when close friends and special people go through trauma like this. This is one way we can make a real difference, to provide tangible benefits for Charlie when she needs it the most.

A battle lost, an angel gained... 15 February 2016
It is with a heavy heart and bruised soul that I write to inform you all of Charlie's passing. She slipped quietly to the other side late last night.
Thank you so much to all of you, for your kind words, prayers and generous donations to Charlie and her family. This money helped hugely, to find a path for Charlie's treatment, to ease the financial burden, and ultimately help them set up for the gorgeous wee Ryder's arrival.
The family wish to thank you for everything, the generosity of your all is truly astounding and very much appreciated.
Our thoughts and hearts are now with Shawn and Ryder as they face their future without their beloved.
