My NASA Space School Trip

I'm a Year 12 student and one of the only 2 people in NZ who has been selected to attend the 2016 NASA Space School in Texas! This is a huge opportunity where 50 students from all over the world are selected to come together at the NASA space center in texas for 2 weeks and design a rocket launch to mars, while staying with a host family. Science is my passion and for me this is such an amazing opportunity because it has always been my dream to go to NASA! Not only will I get to share my kiwi culture with all the other students there as well as learn more about the things I love! In order to be selected, I had to be doing Level 2 NCEA as a Year 11 (one year ahead) as well as have excellent grades, be involved in lots of extra curricular activities, and had to be interviewed as well. Unfortunately the cost for the program and the air fares are around $4000! Any donations are greatly appreciated!
