Roberto wanted a second lease at life to watch his granchildren grow. At 65, he died of cancer.
Auckland
Roberto, was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer last July 2016. Together with my mom and siblings, we tried to look for the best treatment for him though we were told he only has a couple of months to live.
My dad was a fighter, he didn't want to give up. He wanted to live longer to see his grandchildren grow. He was distraught that he had to go on an abrupt leave from work as his health started to deteriorate. He had so many plans and retirement wasn't one of them yet.
We have been hoping for a new treatment plan for him and for his health to stabilize so he could go back home to Manila from New York. He would've loved to spend his birthday in November or Christmas with people he loved the most. Unfortunately, my dearest dad passed away last 21st of September.
We are pleading for your help. It is with great sorrow that he is coming home in the state that he is in but the family will be able to see him one last time before he is laid to rest. The cost to get him home is a steep requirement along with his previous hospital and medical bills.
Any amount is most appreciated during these trying times. Thank you all in advance.
I am one of Roberto's 5 children.
