Please help us fundraise for 27 year old stroke victim Tali. Anything you can give big or small will ensure his family is provided for.
Auckland
Tali Mulu is a 27 year old Samoan man living in New Zealand. On Good Friday he suffered a severe and life threatening stroke. He underwent brain surgery where they removed the clot and part of his skull to relieve the pressure from swelling of the brain. He is paralysed on his right side and unable to speak at this stage. He is the sole provider for his family and unfortunately daily expenses and bills do not stop. His partner Brooke has not left his side since the stroke occurred and will continue supporting him every step of the way. This fundraiser is to help their family get through this time easing the financial stress she is already starting to feel. Any amount big or small will go along way to help this family through this devastating time and is greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much. Please check updates for Tali progress :)
I'm involved because families stick together and we are doing everything we can to help Brooke and Tali get through this.
Fantastic news from Brooke 9 May 2015
Well it will be 4 weeks tomorrow since Tali's stroke. A stroke that was so life threatening I was told there was about 15% percent of survival and that the best case scenario was that he would still be here but would never walk or talk again...but Tali has defied the odds and continues to do so each day. In the small time of 4 weeks he has not only survived, he has spoken, sung and just yesterday took his first steps on his own. I am amazed daily at his determination and strength. And despite the horrible situation he has continued to keep a smile on his face. There are no right words that can explain the love I have for this man and how extremely proud I am and honoured to be apart of his life and help him through his dark days. This unfortunate incident has it's silver lining... I have met a lot of Tali's family over the past weeks who have been incredibly supportive to not only tali but myself and the Kids as well which we appreciate greatly as well as the support we have received from my side of the family and our friends has been amazing too and I'm so grateful and give you all our biggest thanks. It's gonna be a long road but Tali will continue to defy the odds and we will have him back home in no time!!! Love you all and again Thank you!
