Help CDC buy and refurbish a new Home

$2,580 of $1,000,000 goal
Given by 19 generous donors in around 4 months

We have 3 months to raise $1 million in order to find a new home for the Catholic Discipleship College. Please help with this urgent appeal.

Auckland

The Diocese of Auckland has informed us that our lease of the St. Joseph's Centre will not be renewed due to maintenance issues, so we have to move to a new home in January 2018. We are currently seeking to purchase and refurbish the Mission Sisters' convent in Pukekohe, and time is limited. Help us raise $1 million to provide CDC with a permanent facility where we can form the next generation of saints, leaders for the Church of Aotearoa New Zealand.

All people, and especially today’s youth, have a deep longing to encounter Christ and receive His call to a personal friendship. CDC meets this longing by providing a nine month experience of formation, community life, prayer and outreach, and by running events for the wider community.

This is obviously a major undertaking, requiring significant fundraising in a very condensed time frame, and I am appealing to you our loyal friends and supporters to help us as much as you are able. No donation is too small to help with this urgent appeal.

St Joseph, provider and protector of the Holy Family of Nazareth, intercede for us!

In Christ,

Bruce Fraser-Jones, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Catholic Discipleship College

About us

‘Go, make disciples of all nations’ (Mt 28:19)

CDC is a nine month immersion in Scripture, prayer, philosophy and theology, lived in community open to mission.

Our students study philosophy as a preparation for theology. We challenge them to live a life of prayer and fraternal love, centred on the Word of God and the Holy Eucharist, free from attachment to social media and the culture of entertainment.

The formation offered at CDC includes personal studies, regular classes by specialist lecturers, spiritual direction, pilgrimages, retreats and conferences. Students share household tasks and leadership, and take part in outreach missions and recreation activities. All this supports a purification in the truth, opening the heart to a personal intimacy with Christ.
