  • GREAT NEWS!!

      21 January 2015

VERY EXCITING NEWS!!!!!. The results from Lucy's scan on Monday look very promising. There has been a 50% reduction in the size of the tumours, so that is an excellent response to the chemo and trial drug so far.

Lucy has her brother Steve over there with her at the moment, and they fly back home tomorrow (22nd) and Lucy will have 5 nights at home catching up with everyone before the kids head off to start their new school year.

Then it's back to Sydney for her to continue the treatment. With results like these, the time away from everyone has certainly been worthwhile, even though it has been hard for Lucy to be so far away from her family and friends. She really appreciates the continued support from everyone.

GO LUCY!! YOU'RE SUCH AN INSPIRATION!!

  • A MESSAGE FROM LUCY TO EVERYONE

      9 January 2015

    Hello There

I wanted to take this opportunity to say a very special thank you to everyone. I can't believe how generous you have all been, it's overwhelming. You go through your life thinking that things like this only happen to other people, but actually it can happen to anyone. It has definitely made me more appreciative of all the wonderful people in my life.

To date, the treatment is going very well and I'm coping with the side-effects. I will be having a CT scan on the 19th of January and that will tell us how things are progressing, so fingers crossed!! It will make it all worthwhile if the results are good.

The accommodation over here in Sydney is very expensive, so a BIG thank you again to everyone for your donations and lovely messages of support.

    love Lucy

  • Lucy's Lovely Christmas

      17 December 2014

Lucy is looking forward to Dean and the children arriving in Sydney tomorrow night, to have a family Christmas together. They will be there for 3 weeks, spending time with Lucy and doing things together as a family. First they head off to the Blue Mountains for a 3 night break - the trip costs have been gifted to them, which makes it extra special!

Lucy was interviewed in the aftermath of the tragic hostage shootings, to see how safe she felt using public transport.

Chemo and the trial drug are continuing, and she seems to be coping with it all, still smiling as usual!

She is looking forward to visits from her Mum Gloria and brother Steve later in January.
